The universally popular Irish music and dance spectacle Lord of the Dance will arrive in Belgrade, on Tašmajdan, on May 24, 2023, organized by the production company Long Play. The grandiose stage show founded in 1995 by Irish-American dancer Mike Flatley has visited more than 1,000 venues worldwide and has been seen by more than 60 million people in 60 countries on every continent, making it one of the most successful dance productions. In Belgrade, Lord of the Dance has always met with great reception several times in the last ten years, so there is no doubt that another memorable spectacle will follow at Tašmajdan.
Flatley adapted the original Lord of the Dance for new generations of fans. The current show contains more than 150,000 steps, and magically introduces the audience into a whirlwind of movement, dance, artistic lighting and memorable pyrotechnics. Visitors can expect a new stage, costumes, choreography, as well as the latest technology and lighting effects. 40 prominent young performers will appear on stage, with new music by composer Gerard Fahy. The contemporary Lord of the Dance combines the best of tradition with the excitement of new music and contemporary dance.
Mile Flatley does not hide his excitement ahead of the new Lord of the Dance tour, after everything that has befallen the planet related to the corona pandemic: "I feel this is the most important tour in our history." The return of art is incredibly important. I hope that our series of performances will help people to renew their spirits and bring smiles back to their faces." Tickets for the spectacle Lord of the Dance on May 24, 2023 at Tašmajdan cost from 3,200 to 4,500 dinars, and can be purchased through the Tickets.rs service.
